Bengal Foundation exhibits two documentaries

The Bengal Foundation recently hosted screenings of two documentaries at Bengal Shilpalay to celebrate Bangladesh’s 50 years of independence, a statement read.

The two documentaries entitled “Prantikatar Rupakar” and “Badhyabhumite Ekdin” were screened during the event.

The documentary “Prantikatar Rupakar” based on the life and works of artist Shahid Kabir premiered on Thursday while the documentary “Badhyabhumite Ekdin” directed by government grant winner Kawsar Chowdhury premiered on Friday. The film was screened in the presence of Shahid Kabir, Rashed Chowdhury and Ashfaqur Rahman, among others.

“Prantikatar Rupakar” gives the viewer a glimpse into artist Shahid Kabir’s thoughts on art, his contribution to the country’s art scene and more. The Insightful Project was produced by the Bengal Foundation.

The documentary “Badhyabhumite Ekdin” presents the horrific crimes and genocides committed by the Pakistani army and its local collaborators during the war of liberation.

Theater activist Ramendu Majumdar and CEO of the Bengal Foundation Luva Nahid Choudhury, among others, attended the screening of “Badhyabhumite Ekdin”.
